Scottsdale Community College
3/26/04 We were contacted by Scottsdale Community College in hopes we could offer some "community service" (such as dog walking, washing, etc) for the students to participate in. Since all of our babies are in foster care, that was something we could NOT easily work out. But since we NEVER pass up an opportunity to educate and have people meet our wonderful Lethals, we came up with a different plan. How about an chance for the students to see these impaired dogs run through an agility course and and maybe try their hand at teaching one our doggies who had not yet had an opportunity to learn.
We had a great time, the dogs enjoyed everyone and even the "non-special needs" dogs were more than happy to show off their stuff. Here are some pics of a wonderful time had by all. Hey, it wasn't easy trying to take pictures of such quickly moving targets.
A special thanks to Scottsdale Community College students and staff for being such a great audience!...and to Kelly for opening up her home to students and doggies....to make this possible! Enjoy...
