Cody's Story

4/30/04 Cody has grown up to be quite a handsome boy.  Here's the latest from his mom:

My how he has grown.  He is still the sweetest puppy alive.  Pepper loves him and helps him down the stairs every morning.  He leans on her so that he can navigate early in the morning.  He is so eager to please.  If he ever does get scolded he kisses but like you wouldn't believe until you start to laugh at him and then he knows everything is ok again.  We love him!

I just got my camera back so I will be sending more pics in the future.

Thanks,  Shannon Harding

1/4/04 Cody went to his new home right before Christmas and is doing great.  He loves playing with his sister, Pepper and Mom reports that he is "fitting into the family" just fine.  Here are a few pics of Cody at his new home, with sister, Pepper.  Check back for more pics and updates!

12/02/03  An update on Cody to let you know that he is doing just great.  His foster home describes him as a "perfect gentleman" who is always ready to be loved.  Cody has lots of friends to play with, especially the Sedona Kids who happen to be staying with him.  Here are some pics of Cody living the good life with all his new friends.

11/07/03 Meet Cody, he's a 7-week-old, 10 pound little bundle of sweetness.  He is a Red Merle Lethal White Aussie who was born on 9/18/03.  When he was born, his Mom's guardians knew something wasn't right, but they wanted to give him just as much chance as the other pups.  As time went by, they realized that he definitely had some vision impairments.  He is vision impaired and may also have some hearing loss, but nothing substantial.  The pups were advertised on the internet and another rescue group (Angi from Great Dane Rescue) sent us the ad.  I immediately called and asked if they would consider turning the pup over to us so we could find him a good home.   I asked that before a decision was made, to visit our website and learn more about us.  Within a few day, we received a call saying that we could take the pup.  Kristie, one of our great foster homes, picked him up this evening, but I have to tell you, it was very difficult for his family to let him go.  Thank you, Cyndi, for trusting us enough to find him the perfect family!  Sometimes, the hardest part of loving...is to let go!  He has received his first booster shot and will be neutered and up-to-date on shots before his adoption.

Cody had a vet appointment on Saturday, see the pics below.  Arriving and waiting to be seen.

Almost done and going home

Here are a few of his arrival at his new foster home.  He gets to hang out with Wyn for a week before she goes to her forever home.
